We are so excited for Holly Wong from Hong Kong to share her story as she embarks on her cloth diapering journey. We know that so many of you will be able to relate to her fears, questions, aspirations when it comes to using reusable diapers, especially as a busy mother of 2 juggling work life balance too! If you're curious to find out how it goes for Holly as she gets over her previous trials and tribulations with cloth and gives Just Peachy a try, follow us as we repost her journey shared on IG @hollywongyoga
Having two kids in diapers means that:
1) We spend a lot of time changing nappies every day;
2) We spend a buttload of money (pun intended) on nappies;
3) We go through a lot of disposable diapers as a household, which makes me cringe with guilt every time I put one on and throw one out.
Did you know that it takes hundreds of years for disposable diapers to decompose - when exposed to sunlight and air?!? If dumped into landfills, it could take much longer for them to decompose 😱
Cloth nappies aren’t a revelation - I knew about their existence, we’ve even tried them multiple times, but there were always reasons NOT to use them: they leak, they don’t fit well, they’re too thick, too hot, too inconvenient… 😕
I decided that enough is enough. It IS time to change - no more excuses! Just thinking about all the plastic waste idling about in no man’s land makes me hang my head in shame 😔 We tried out @justpeachy.diapers cloth nappies on both our kiddos today, and I’m happy to report that there were no leaks, they were easy to use, and more importantly, they were well received by our boys. Now, day 1 went well, but can we kick the habit? 🤔
Stay tuned for the next update!
