We believe in using what Mother Nature gave us. Just Peachy Basics are made using the kindest and safest materials for our little ones, without compromising on performance.
TENCEL™ Micro Modal
Just Peachy Underwear is crafted in FSC and Oeko Tex certified TENCEL™ Modal, manufactured from the renewable source of raw material beech wood, sourced from sustainable forests in Austria and neighboring countries. The modal is free from harmful chemicals and interwoven using Micro technology for a finer quality of lightness and the softest touch.
TENCEL™ Modal fiber types have been certified by TÜV Austria Belgium NV as biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can fully revert back to nature.
Produced by Eco Soft technology, an integrated pulp-to-fiber process that predominantly uses surplus renewable energy from the pulp mill, generating low emissions, TENCEL™ Modal fibers are an environmentally responsible choice approved by the EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001). Spun uniquely in collaboration with LENZING™, this ensures a traceable, responsible supply chain guaranteeing the highest quality.
Energy-saving dying process
The waistband of Just Peachy Boxer Briefs are produced with dope-dyed Lenzing™ Modal fibers. An energy-efficient alternative to conventional dyeing process.
Dope-dying brings significant life cycle savings of water and energy from cradle to finished fabric, for example up to 50% of energy and water savings as well as 60% reduced carbon footprint, resulting in lower environmental impact, compared to conventionally dyed fabrics.
Around 5 million kilogrammes of underwear a day ends up in landfill sites across the US. Just Peachy Feel Good kids underwear is 100% biodegradable and compostable.
Every disposable diaper ever created, still exists today.1
Every year, 20 billion disposable diapers goes to landfill in the U.S. alone.2
Every Just Peachy Cloth Diaper is created to reduce waste.
With the devastating environmental impact of single use, disposable diapers, we knew we had to make a change in the way we care for our baby bums.
As parents, we extensively researched ways in which we can limit toxic chemicals from our baby care and found that disposable diapers were full of unhealthy, plastic materials - often the cause of irritations. So, we scoured the globe to source the highest quality, natural materials to create our cloth diapers made using Intertek certified skin-safe materials that we love and trust for our own babies, providing maximum absorbency without the use of harmful chemicals.
Bamboo Cotton
Our Infant & Booster size bamboo cotton inserts are created using a blend of 70% bamboo viscose and 30% cotton, plus an interior layer of microfiber for faster absorbency and structure to prevent unwanted folding inside the pocket.
With its high breathability, natural stretch and superior absorbency, we blended bamboo with cotton to make them absorb faster than bamboo on its own without compromising on absorption capacity or trimness.
Hemp Cotton
Our full size hemp cotton inserts are created using 4 thirsty layers of 65% hemp and 35% cotton for optimal absorption speed and capacity.
Hemp is one of the most eco-friendly materials, owing to its natural resistance to pests and little need for water. Hemp fabric is also known to wear well - the more it’s worn, the softer it becomes. It’s also one of the thirstiest materials available, which is why we’ve chosen this blend with cotton for the full size insert for toddlers.
Microfleece Suede
The inner layer of Just Peachy’s cloth diaper cover uses microfleece suede, a stay-dry material that wicks moisture away quickly.
We’ve specifically chosen this material for the inner layer so that it can be used as a pocket diaper for babies whose skin are more sensitive to wetness. This soft, smooth layer will keep bottoms dry while the inserts do the heavy-duty absorption inside the pocket.
Polyurethane Laminate
Also known as PUL or TPU, this soft, breathable material is a popular choice as a waterproof material.
Our covers are laminated using a heat process, which means no harmful chemicals are used in the process of bonding the lamination layer to the cotton layers. It is digitally printed to minimize the use of water and dyes, which makes them safer for our babies and less wasteful.
